Like most plants, a ficus tree goes through a normal cycle of growth.
Indirect sunlight is sunlight that doesn't shine onto a plant at full strength, but is weakened by something coming between it and the plant.
Be sure to let the plant dry slightly in between watering. Yellowing leaves on the lower half of the plant is often a sign of nutrient deficiency, and you havent fertilized it before I garuantee this will make your ficus smile.

trace 14 years ago. Incorrect watering – Under watering or over watering both can cause a ficus tree to lose leaves. Too little light – Another reason for ficus tree leaves falling off is that the tree is getting too little light.
